Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) will jointly conduct the national shooting camp at the Dr. Karni Shooting Range from Thursday inside a bio-secure bubble. The camp which had already been postponed twice during the pandemic situation will resume.

The national shooting camp, which was supposed to be held in at the Dr. Karni Shooting Range in Delhi, has been postponed due to administrative compulsions. However, the training camp for elite shooters, including the Tokyo-bound athletes and the Olympic probable, has been given the green signal.

The para-athletes of the nation could reportedly face a gruelling time months before the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics with more and more National Sports Federations, following the NRAI, abandoning them. The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has, however, asked NRAI to continue supporting the para-athletes.

The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has finally stepped in to resolve the ongoing issue between the National Rifle Association of India and Paralympic Committee of India. Earlier, NRAI had decided to remove para-shooters from its curriculum, from both state and national championships.
