Hero Indian Super League (ISL) outfit Hyderabad FC has now secured a one-year extension deal with Australian forward Joel Chianese, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2022-23 season championship, the club announced the extension through their social media handles, on Monday.

Hyderabad FC beat Kerala Blasters FC 3-1 on penalties to win their first-ever ISL title at the PJN Stadium in Margao, Goa on Sunday. The final was competitive from minute one to last and it reflected in the scoreline as the two teams were locked at 1-1 at the end of 120 minutes.

SC East Bengal lost to Hyderabad FC 0-4 in their ISL 2021-22 match, at the Tilak Maidan Stadium, Goa on Monday. The Nizams dominated the match throughout the 90 minutes and were helped by a hat-trick from Bartholomew Ogbeche and a great individual goal from Aniket Jadhav later in the match.

Chennaiyin FC and Hyderabad FC played out a 1-1 draw in the ISL at the PJN Stadium in Margao, Goa on Thursday. Mohammad Sajid Dhot handed Chennaiyin the lead in the 13th minute but Javier Siverio brought Hyderabad back into the game just a few seconds before the half-time whistle.
