According to Marca, Real Madrid have finalised and confirmed a deal to sign Kylian Mbappe in the summer with the Frenchman set to sign for the Los Blancos as a free agent. This comes despite reports indicating that PSG had made a last-ditch renewed contract offer that Mbappe reportedly liked.

Ever since Lionel Messi left Barcelona, as a free agent, and signed for Paris Saint-Germain, the focus shifted to Kylian Mbappe and his future. The Frenchman entered the 2021/22 season with only one year left on his current contract and has yet to sign a new contract. However, even now with less than a month left on his deal, conflicting reports are still floating around the football world. But Marca have reported that a deal is done with Real Madrid set to sign the forward in the summer.

The Los Blancos have been Mbappe’s top suitors for most of the last two years and have been waiting for their moment, and the report has indicated that they have got their man. Marca revealed that the Santiago Bernabeu side offered Mbappe a contract over the last few months and have been in talks with the Frenchman for months. It has seen their patience pay off as the report has confirmed that the Frenchman was happy with the offer and will sign it once a few more details are cleared.

Marca further reported that no announcement will be made by Real Madrid until Mbappe himself confirms that his spell at Paris Saint-Germain is over. The Los Blancos reportedly believe that the Frenchman will do that once his contract expires on July 1st and that is despite a last-ditch contract offer by the Parisians. The Frenchman has reportedly rejected that and is set to sign the contract offered by Real Madrid, which will be a significant outlay to get the 2018 World Cup winner to Spain.
