ISL club Kerala Blasters have signed Croatian defender Marko Lešković for the upcoming season. This is Kerala's final foreign signing ahead of the tournament. Lešković will be a great addition to team, given his vast experience and the fact that he has also represented Croatia at the senior level.

Kerala Blasters have gone ahead and signed Croatian defender Marko Lešković for the upcoming season of ISL. Marko is moving from GNK Dinamo Zagreb (Dinamo Zagreb). The 30-year-old has vast experience and has played over 150 games in the Croatian top division.

‘Lešković is a high-level defender who has come to Kerala Blasters with high motivation to perform well. I’m happy that we finalized this deal and finished recruitment for the upcoming season. I wish Marko all the best this season.’ says Karolis Skinkys, Sporting Director, KBFC.

‘I’m happy to be coming to Kerala Blasters. We have a lot of challenges ahead of us but my intention and motivation to come to this great club is clear – I can’t wait to start winning together.’ said Marko Lešković.

Lešković had begun his career with NK Osijek and played 35 matches for them. Later, he was transferred to HNK Rijeka and made 41 appearances. Finally in 2016, he made a move to Dinamo Zagreb.

Apart from that he has also played for the Croatian senior team and his last international appearance was against Estonia.

He is also Kerala's sixth and final overseas player.
